Shortly after starting a hectic new job, equities trader Jay Laux moved to New York City. Since he brought just a few belongings with him, he asked Northbrook Design for help. The Danish 1950's sofa and antique end table lend the apartment a "lived-in" quality. All other furnishings are new. Laux enjoys reading and listening to music: a bright reading lamp stands next to the sofa and a low narrow media cabinet houses the stereo. Northbrook Design worked closely with Hazen Keay Art Advisory, New York, to balance the diverse art collection with the eclectic furnishings.
