May 1st, 2012. June 1st, 2012. May 5th, 2012? Sometime soon, my husband’s cottage will be demolished, the lot where it currently stands scraped of everything, and our new house construction will begin! I thought I’d share the process of our endeavor on this blog.
Here is the cottage. It is adorable but since Bob deferred any maintenance for the 12 years he lived there knowing he would one day build a new house, it really is not in good enough shape to renovate. I lived there for 9 months, and then we moved to a rental house. Our architect Heather is living there right now while her home is being renovated two blocks away. The cottage has given us a lot, and now we are going to tear it down!
The new house design is beautiful, we love what Heather has designed. I am designing the interiors with Heather and the Northbrook Design team.
